How it works
Sentimentalist+u is a collaborative effort for you to be involved more than ever in the creation of a custom ring.
Traditional jewelry production involves the lost wax casting process. A ring or other design is carved out of wax, covered in plaster, burned out in a kiln, and the wax model is filled with the desired metal.
By purchasing a kit you will carve your own ring, send it back, and receive a finished and polished ring within 2 weeks of the completed wax carving and kit being sent back.
The kits available are listed below. You have the choice to carve two types of rings and have them cast in bronze, sterling silver, or 14k gold. The kits come with carving tools, wax ring blanks sized as needed, and instructions on basic wax carving. All kits require a tool and metal deposit, and a return shipping label will be provided.

using provided tools, first practice your ideas on the practice wax
reference instruction booklet on how to use tools
go crazy
send kit back for casting
return all provided tools to original kit bag
put finished ring in provided safety container
mail kit back
wait patiently for your ring to be completed with love and care
ring is cast
process includes:
wax ring is cleaned and potentially revised for optimal casting
ring is cast in selected metal and cleaned and polished per desired finish
you receive your finished creation
your finished ring is sent back to you
